How to use this calculator
Choose Quick estimate for a monthly price and count, or List different subscriptions for separately named monthly, quarterly or annual bills. In list mode, uncheck a service to compare stopping its future charges.
Add each service at its own price. Choose its actual billing period. Uncheck Include to compare removing it; this does not cancel the service.
Up to 20 services. This list stays on this page until you reload or reset.
Enter 0 if a cost does not apply. Optional fields may stay blank.
Uses monthly equivalents for included services and assumes unchanged renewals. Include taxes in your prices. The yearly total is not a calendar of when bills are due.
What your results mean
Estimates are educational and may not reflect every real-world cost, tax, fee or change in price.
Small renewals, one combined commitment
Subscriptions can renew on different schedules. Compare their monthly equivalents, then use the list to see which services contribute to the total. Switching modes keeps each set of inputs separate; only the selected mode contributes to your results.
Choose inputs that match your situation
Use the monthly equivalent
In list mode, enter $120 and choose Yearly for an annual membership; the tool converts it to a $10 monthly equivalent. In Quick estimate, enter $10 because that price is always monthly. Quarterly bills are divided by three in list mode.
Keep different prices separate
Choose List different subscriptions and enter $10, $15 and $25 services in separate rows. Their monthly total is $50 without averaging. Enter only your share of a shared plan. Names are for your reference and are not uploaded by the calculator.
Check renewals and shared bills
Use the price you expect after a free trial or promotional period. Enter your own share of a family plan if measuring your budget. A subscription included in another package should not be counted a second time.
How the results are calculated
In Quick estimate, monthly total = monthly price × count. In list mode, monthly total is the sum of included prices after converting quarterly prices ÷ 3 and yearly prices ÷ 12. Yearly total = monthly total × 12; five-year total = monthly total × 60. The calculation keeps unrounded equivalents internally. The bars show repeated spending, not investment returns.
Worked examples you can try
Four services at $19.99
Entering the example amounts produces $79.96 monthly, $959.52 yearly and $4,797.60 over five years.
Cancel one of those services
Change the count from four to three. The result becomes $59.97 monthly and $719.64 yearly, a $239.88 annual reduction. If you replace it with another paid service, subtract the replacement cost from that reduction.
An annual membership
In list mode, enter $120 and choose Yearly. The result is $10 monthly, $120 yearly and $600 over five years, assuming continued renewals. Unchecking the row removes its future recurring amount; it does not refund a bill already paid.
Read the result with its assumptions
The tool assumes a constant price and count for the full projection. It does not model cancellation dates, partial refunds, price changes, taxes not included in your price, or a free trial followed by paid months. For a changing first year, total the expected charges separately; repeating that total for five years may be inappropriate.
A large total does not establish poor value. Compare actual use and benefits alongside cost. The bar chart shows when spending accumulates, not whether the service is worthwhile.
Questions about this calculator
Can I enter an annual price?
Yes. In list mode choose Yearly and enter the annual bill. In Quick estimate, divide the annual price by twelve first.
What if all my subscriptions have different prices?
Choose List different subscriptions. Each service has its own name, price, billing period and Include control.
Are these investment projections?
No. They show repeated subscription spending at a constant rate.
Will my entries be saved?
This version does not create a saved scenario. Reloading or Reset clears your entries. The graph returns to a clearly labelled illustrative example. Calculations run on the page; advertising services are described in the Privacy Policy.
Bring your subscriptions together
Pro is planned to save your subscription list between visits and track changes over time. The free itemized list is available now; reloading clears your edits.
